Our Couple Trip to Delhi – Best Places to Visit and Foods to Try

Delhi is loud, colorful, and full of history. As a couple, we found it exciting, romantic, and full of stories. We explored forts, gardens, old streets, and cozy cafés. Every place had something special for us.

In this post, we’ll share the top places we visited, the foods we loved, and tips for couples who want to visit Delhi too.

🏛️ Best Places to Visit in Delhi for Couples

1. Humayun’s Tomb

This is one of the most peaceful places in Delhi. The gardens are clean and green, and the tomb is beautiful. We took some great couple photos here just before sunset.

Tip: Go in the late afternoon when the light is soft.

2. India Gate & Rajpath

India Gate looks amazing at night with all the lights. We walked along Rajpath, enjoyed street food, and felt the cool breeze. It’s a great place for a slow, romantic walk.

3. Qutub Minar

This tall tower and the old buildings around it are really interesting. It’s one of Delhi’s most famous spots, and we loved exploring the area together.

4. Lodhi Garden

This was our favorite spot for quiet time. It’s a big park with trees, lakes, and old tombs. We had a picnic here and watched birds in the evening.

Perfect place for a relaxing afternoon.

5. Connaught Place (CP)

We went shopping here and stopped at a cute café for coffee. There are lots of stores and small shops to explore. Don’t forget to visit Janpath Market nearby for handmade gifts and clothes.

🍛 What We Ate in Delhi – Our Favorite Foods

Delhi is famous for its street food and spicy dishes. Here’s what we loved most:

  • Chole Bhature – Fried bread with spicy chickpeas. Very filling!
  • Paratha from Chandni Chowk – Stuffed bread with many flavors.
  • Golgappa/Pani Puri – Crispy snacks with spicy water. Fun to eat!
  • Butter Chicken – Creamy and rich chicken curry.
  • Kulfi Falooda – A sweet and cold dessert.
  • Keventer’s Milkshake – Cold, tasty drinks perfect for warm days.

If you love food, Delhi will make you very happy!
